The Guildhall, Chichester
Description
Refurbishment of external facades and window protections to the Chancel of the former church of the Franciscan Friars, built in the 13th century.
The works involved:
- Scaffold to all elevations.
- Replacement masonry in Chicksgrove Caen and Midhurst Sand Stone.
- Extensive conservation and masonry repair to tracery windows.
- External mortar repairs and pointing to external fabric.
- Replacement of window and roof guards.
- Roof repairs.
- Introduction of bat access.
- Design and installation of anti vandal mesh to tracery windows.
