Description
A new build – Nashesque Villa build from scratch.
The works involved:
- The finest quality ashlar with joints not exceeding 1/32nds of an inch was specified.
- A sample panel was built and all masonry was compared to the sample before being signed off to achieve the specification.
- Cotswold Hill was used for the plain ashlar and Hartham Park for the plinth.
- The staircase is elliptical and cantilevered in Portland Stone and was carved in St Blaise’s banker shop.
- The joinery was all produced in St Blaise’s workshops and fixed by St Blaise’s craftsmen. It too is of outstanding quality.
- The decorative plasterwork is of outstanding quality and there is much good detailing in the fixtures and fittings and the stone floors.
- The quality achieved to masonry, joinery and plaster alike was excellent.
