Cowdray Ruins, Midhurst
Description
Repair and conservation to the remains of the Tudor Palace, built in early 1500 was used as a stately home until destroyed by fire in 1793. The area has “Schedule Ancient Monument Status”.
The works involved:
- Installed tiled wall cappings throughout to all standing walls.
- Isolated masonry repair.
- Masonry conservation.
- Lintel repair/replacement.
- Plaster conservation and replacement, included sourcing quarried stone from the West Sussex estate.
- Major structural repairs using Cintec Anchors.
